SPANISH FORK, UTAH -- Some people wait a long time to get married,
others give up a lot to get married. As reports surface that San
Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young will marry in March, Miss
Spanish Fork Utah, LDS Church member Dakota Carr, has resigned her title
to get married.
Carr not only drops her title, but also passes on multiple public
appearances, a $2,000 scholarship, and a chance to compete in the Miss
Utah contest in June. She plans to marry Ryan Redford in the Salt Lake
Temple in April. Her duties and scholarship will be taken by first
runner-up Carrie Thomsen.
