LIBERTY TOWNSHIP -- A group of about a dozen high school girls in the
Liberty township of Ohio have been getting together once a week to
make quilts for babies in Kosovo. The girls are members of the
Liberty Ward of the LDS church, and their volunteer quilting teacher
is Kelly Corbridge, a quilting expert.
Some of the girls' quilts are being featured in the March issue of
McCall's Quilting Quick Quilts magazine. The project accomplishes
more than just helping needy children to have quilts, it also brings
the girls together and gives them a sense of accomplishment.
