Donny Osmond: Joan Collins Pawed My Bod
National Enquirer 19Apr00 A2
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- If you can believe the National Enquirer,
Donny Osmond is claiming that "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat" co-star Joan Collins made a play for him while filming the
recently released video version of Osmond's popular stage show.
Osmond reportedly told reporters recently that Collins "Pawed his
bod" during rehersals for the film.
But Joan denies the claim, laughing at the thought, "The darling boy
flatters himself. Yes, I was a bit vampy, but not trampy. If I want a
man for real, that kind of thing goes on in private, not during
rehearsals with dozens of people gawking at you." Collins was playing
the part of Potiphar's wife, which requires her to act like she is
seducing Joseph, the part Osmond played.
In spite of Collins' denials, many who were on the set claim that
Joan's advances looked real. They say that the 66-year-old 'couldn't
keep her hands off Donny.' One of those present said, "One scene
called for Joan's character to take Donny's clothes off -- but she
kept doing it wrong time after time." And Donny reportedly described
it as "She was blowing in my ear, rubbing my chest, taking my clothes
off, and I thought, 'I'm glad my wife isn't watching this.' "
The 42-year-old Osmond has been happily married for 21 years. For
most observers, the question will simply boil down to which
questionable source you believe, Collins, or the National Enquirer.
