Three "Perfectly Grand" evenings in celebration of the 300th anniversary
of the piano will be held at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors' Center,
9900 Stoneybrook Drive, Kensington, Md. The programs begin at 7 p.m.
on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 2, 3, and 4.
Talented young artists open the Center's Piano Pageant weekend on
Friday, June 2, with a variety of solos and duets including works by
Chopin, Haydn, Schubert, Brahms, Beethoven, and Rodgers and Hammerstein.
Classical pianist Nancy Reid will perform favorite selections from her
distinguished career at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at the Center. She
will entertain with familiar classics from Tchaikovsky to Chopin to
Gershwin.
Three concert pianists, Karen Freeman, Barbra Bailey Bradley, and
Rosanne Conway, conclude the series with solo and duet performances.
