PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY -- LDS student Daniel Holt will give the annual
Student Sermon this coming Sunday in the historic Princeton University
Chapel. Holt was chosen from among the students that submitted sermons to
the office of the University's Dean of Religious Life. Students have been
giving the annual sermon in the chapel for more than 10 years.
According to the Rev. Dr. Joseph C. Williamson, Dean of Religious Life at
Princeton, Holt's sermon stood out for its excellent use of imagery. Rev.
Williamson says the sermon, "In the Garden" uses the garden metaphor as a
theme throughout the sermon, both on a human and on a theological level.
Holt, a senior majoring in economics, served an LDS mission in Southern
California following his first year at Princeton, and is currently President
of the LDSSA at Princeton. After graduation, he will work for wall street
firm J.P. Morgan.
