SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- Tickets for President Hinckley's 90th
birthday party will be distributed starting Wednesday, June 7th,
according to the Deseret News. "An Evening of Celebration" will be
held on Friday, June 23rd at 7 p.m. in the LDS Church's new
Conference Center in Salt Lake City and will be broadcast to Stake
Centers and other locations equipped to receive the LDS Church's
satellite broadcasts.
The tickets are complimentary, and will be available at the ticket
booth at the North entrance to the Ogden Tabernacle, the Conference
Center ticket office and the Harris Fine Arts Center ticket office on
BYU campus.
The evening will feature performances by The Salt Lake Mormon
Tabernacle Choir, The Orchestra at Temple Square as well as
Metropolitan Opera soloists and distinguished local musicians.
The satellite broadcast will be sent live to Stake Centers in the
U.S., Canada and Latin America. It is scheduled to be rebroadcast to
European stake centers on Saturday morning.
