LARAMIE, WYOMING -- Two LDS High School Students on the Wyoming 2000
Basketball All-Stars plan to serve LDS missions. Ryan Taylor of Star
Valley High School and P.J. Shumway of Laramie High School were both
named to the alll-Wyoming boy's team.
Taylor, a 6-0 guard, graduated with a 3.61 GPA. He led his team to
the Class 3A state title, averaging 19 points, seven assists and
three steals per game in the process. He also earned All-State honors
in both basketball and in football. Shumway, a 6-4 forward, has a
3.87 GPA and plans to attend college after completing a mission. He
averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game and shot 37 percent
from behind the three-point line.
Both young men plan to serve thier missions starting this fall.
