SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- Donny Osmond is now appearing in a
long-term engagement at Fisherman's Wharf. He and many other
entertainers join historic figures at the new building housing the
Wax Museum, where you can see statues of Donny along with Gandhi,
Jesus, Muhammad Ali and many other interesting or important people.
The Donny Osmond statue is getting praise from visitors and from the
museum staff. Created by the new resident sculptor Kahn Gasimov, the
Osmond figure is exceptionally realistic. "He just comes alive, from
a distance and up close. It really is lifelike," says museum
president Ron Fong. Gasimov is at work on a statue of Marie Osmond,
so that the pair soon will appear in an ongoing showing that will
last longer than their television variety program. The statues can be
seen at 145 Jefferson St., San Francisco.
