Singers Perform for Southern Alberta
CARDSTON, ALBERTA, CANADA -- Two second cousins have banded together
to share a selection of their favourite songs with Southern Alberta.
Cameron Cahoon and Candice Johnson will be singing pieces from such
performances as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Tarzan and The
Lion King in a programme entitled Musical Treasures.
Cahoon has been a long-time singer, singing since he was seven. He has
toured throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, and this fall will
be his fourth year at the Westminster Conservatory of Music. He is planning
on using some of his favourites songs of the performance in an upcoming CD
project.
Johnson, engaged to be married this summer, is a Brigham young University
alumnus. he coloratura soprano graduated from BYU with a degree in vocal
performance. Though she only started on her musical career at the end of
high school, what she lacks in time, she makes up for in education. She is
currently teaching voice at the University of Lethbridge. She has performed
with the University Singers and in various productions at the Carriage
House Theatre in Cardston.
The pair's performance will be on Saturday, August 26, 2000 at the Carriage
