LDS Brothers' Singing Group Meeting New Standards
MODESTO, CALIFORNIA -- The Standards, an acapella singing group from
Twin Falls, Idaho, is about harmony, family and dreams. Made up of
five brothers - Jordon, Morgan, Nicholas, Nathan and Quinn Williams -
who range in age from 18 to 26, the group takes its inspiration from
the Nylons, a quartet from Canada.
From early appearances at Idaho and Utah shopping malls, the group
has moved up to playing large festivals and opening concerts for such
groups as America, Manhattan Transfer and Lonestar. The group is
still seeking its own recording contract.
There are signs the Standards are on track for bigger things. The
group placed second in the West Coast Harmony Championship a couple
of years ago, and won first place on "Destination Stardom," national
television talent competition in 1999.
