Mormon News Resumes Sports Stats
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- With the start of the new year, Mormon News
will again attempt to provide weekly sports stats on Mormon players.
This past week represents a lull in sports, as the NFL playoffs have
started and NBA games continue, but other major sports are off.
In basketball, veteran player Shawn Bradley continues to play well
for the Dallas Mavericks, but the other Mormon players in the NBA,
Travis Knight and Mark Madsen, are struggling to get playing time.
Meanwhile, in football, only two players are on teams that have made
the playoffs, Chad Lewis (Philadelphia Eagles) and Byron Frisch
(Tennessee Titans).
