Odyssey Channel to Repeat 'Voyage of the Unicorn'
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- The Odyssey channel will give an encore presentation
of "The Voyage of the Unicorn" on Saturday, March 10th at 2 pm EST. The four
hour film is an adaptation of LDS artist and BYU professor James C.
Christensen's classic children's book "The Voyage of the Basset." The
Hallmark Entertainment production premiered last Friday and Saturday
evenings on Odyssey.
Both the book and the film tell the story of widowed mythology scholar Alan
Aisling and his two daughters as they struggle to deal with the death of
their mother and wife. In the process, they find themselves in a fantasy
world of trolls, dwarves and fairies in an attempt to save the fairy kingdom
from the trolls. Their journey also teaches them that the only constant of
life is change, and, led by a simple and engaging message, the ship's motto,
"Credendo Vides" - by believing, one sees, the family goes through a
transformation to a more serene reality.
Like all the content on the Odyssey channel, "The Voyage of the Unicorn" is
billed as suitable for families.
