The Garden Sprouts Anew at Kingsbury Hall April 6
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- Tickets are now on sale for Deseret Book's
annual production of The Garden, the popular oratorio by composers
Michael McLean, Merrill Jensen, and Bryce Neubert, for a
one-night-only performance will be on Friday, April 6 at Kingsbury
Hall. Performance time is 8 P.M.
This year, the program includes an opening by new Shadow Mountain
recording artist Christina England. A highlight of her performance
will be a duet of "Consider the Lillies" with composer Roger Hoffman.
Returning to this year's performance are original cast members Roger
Hoffman as "The Man," Bryce Neubert as "Ram," Debra Bonner as "The
Barren Tree," and David Tinney as "The Gardener." Rounding out the
cast are Jason Celaya as "The Landlord," and Art Allen as
"Millstone." A new cast member will join the production as "The
Seedling" once open auditions conclude on March 17.
The Choral Art Society of Utah, under the direction of Sterling
Poulsen, will once again provide the chorus, accompanied by a full
orchestra.
