Veteran LDS Author Has New Cookbook
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- LDS humor writer Joni Hilton, the author of
"As the Ward Turns," and "Around the Ward in 80 Days," has a new
book on the market - this time it's a cookbook.
Hilton says her new book, "Cooking Secrets My Mother Never Taught
Me," (Prima, $16.95), is designed to be a reference guide to cooking.
Cooks today are going back to the art of home cooking, the way
Grandma made it, but now they're using high-quality convenience
foods, as well as fresh ingredients, says Hilton, a former Miss
California and television news anchor.
Hilton, the mother of four, is also the author of "The Once-a-Week
Cooking Plan" (Prima, 1999). She took third place in the 1995 National Beef Cook-Off .
