Senior Missionary Glen Ashton Lloyd Dies in England
LEEDS, ENGLAND -- Senior missionary Glen Ashton Lloyd died suddenly July
26th while serving an LDS mission with his wife, Sylvia, in Leeds, England.
Lloyd was an active architect in Salt Lake City, proprietor of his own firm.
He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, from which he
received the Award of Merit for his designs. He was also active in community
affairs in Salt Lake City's Capitol Hill area and was on the board of the
Days of '47 parade for 20 years, resigning as its vice president last
October to serve a mission. Lloyd was born in 1928 and served an LDS mission
to the Netherlands in 1948. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree at
the University of Washington in 1956.
