Gladys Knight will perform on Friday, January 29th at Ogden's Dee Events Center, bringing songs from her new CD, "Many Different Roads." Knight, who joined the LDS Church in August 1997, has switched to performing inspirational music since her conversion, and the recent album represents her initial work. Knight is best known as the front vocalist for Gladys Knight and the Pips, and for performing such hits as 'Midnight Train to Georgia.' With the Pips, she was inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Rythm and Blues Hall of Fame. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $21 and $27. The concert is sponsored by Deseret Book.
