New book shares tips on parenting

"It Takes a Parent to Raise a Child" a new book about parenting will makes its debut on Friday. The author, Glen C. Griffin, a pediatrician and parenting columnist for the Deseret News, has put together a game plan for parenting.

The book is reportedly easy to read and contains keys based on eternal principles. Griffin said he hopes to help people teach their kids the difference between right and wrong.

"It Takes a Parent to Raise a Child" contains anecdotes and humor with an emphasis on practicality and nonviolent solutions. Several stories from Griffin's parenting column are also contained in the book.
