Salt Lake Tribune 27Sep99 A2
By Kelly Kennedy: Salt Lake Tribune
This article tells about the Gilgal Sculpture Garden, a little-known
garden, housing sculptures in Salt Lake City. The land has been sold
to developers who have plans to demolish the gardens and replace them
with condos. Church member, Naomi Feigel tells about the historic
value of the sculptures and her hopes that enough money can be raised
to prevent its destruction.
The sculptures were designed by LDS member Robert Child who then
commissioned sculptor Maurice brooks to bring them to life. The
garden is open to visitors each Sunday.
