'Donny & Marie' cancelled |
The syndicated TV talk show hosted by
Osmond brother and sister Donny &Marie was cancelled Thursday
according to Columbia Tristar Television Distribution, the show's
distributor. The show was to enter its third season next year, but
low ratings led to its cancellation. |

New Comedy Network Series Pokes Fun At Missionaries |
Canada's Comedy Network debuted its "new" series "Dragnuts" Monday night, using footage from TV's old black-and-white series "Dragnet" to poke fun at society and, at least once or twice, at Mormons. The producers of "Dragnuts" have written new dialogue to go along with the footage from the original Dragnet, synching different dialogue to the video from the show. |
Rescheduled 2000 PEARL Awards a Star-Studded Affair |
In spite of an unavoidable postponement, the
2000 PEARL Awards will still be a star-studded event, with
performances and appearances by some of the finest musicians,
performers and entertainers in the mountain west. Rescheduled for Thursday, July 27 at the McKay Center at UVSC in Orem, the 2000 PEARL Awards will feature performances by Michael
McLean, Ryan Shupe & the Rubberband, and Julie de Azevedo. |
