LDS Stake Conference Covered in Texas Paper
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS -- The semi-annual stake conference of the
Colleyville Texas Stake held Sunday was covered in the Ft Worth Star
Telegram thismorning. According to the Star-Telegram, 1,300 church members
met for the conference at the stake's North Richmond Hills' stake center.
The stake has eight wards, including two made up primarily of members from
Tonga. Since the stake was formed 3 years ago, membership has grown from
2,800 members to 3,250 members. Several of the conference's choir numbers
were in Tonga, as was the opening prayer.
The Star-Telegram took note of one of the talks given in the conference, by
outgoing Bishop Fulilangi Hola, who encouraged members to attend the nearby
Dallas Temple, oberving that years ago, when he lived in Tonga, a trip to
the Temple meant a trip to another country.
