LDS Rock Star Bachman is Hot; Is He Headed to Hall of Fame? |
More than 35 years after his first hit, "Shakin' All
Over," LDS rock star Randy Bachman is hot again. His first band, "The Guess
Who" reunited this summer after nearly 30 years, going on a sold-out reunion
tour. The songs he made popular with his band "Bachman Turner Overdrive" are
being used by both sides in the US presidential campaign. He has penned,
with John Einarson, an autobiography, and is currently on a book tour. And
now fans have started an on-line petition to get "The Guess Who" in
Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. |
God's Army Spreading Across Country |
They promised us if we liked it, they would keep it. God'a Army
premiered in Alberta on 29 September 2000 with the assurance that if there
was sufficient interest in the movie, it would stay longer than the standard
week. Not only was there enough interest at the five theatres in which it
premiered to extend the playing times, but there was enough that a second
theatre in Edmonton had to be opened to accommodate the extra traffic. |

CBC Radio One host Shelagh Rogers interviewed
Randy Bachman on her show, "This Morming", and the interview was also
included on the digest version of the show broadcast in the evening,
"This Morning Tonight". |
