Card's 'Ender's Shadow' Joins Bestsellers
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- With the release of Orson Scott Card's "Ender's
Shadow" in paperback, the book has now appeared on a couple of the
smaller best seller lists, and will likely appear on the others in
the future as Card's large fan base learns that the novel is now
available in paper. Along with the return of Martha Nibley Beck's
"Expecting Adam" to the New York Times' list, the number of
Mormon-related titles on best seller lists has now grown to 6.
Most significantly, Stephen Ambrose's history of the construction of
the transcontinental railroad, "Nothing Like It in the World,"
continues to rise on nearly every bestseller list, reaching #1 on the
independent Booksense list.
The current titles on bestseller lists are:
Nothing Like it in the World, by Stephen Ambrose
A history of the building of the transcontinental railroad in the US.
Ambrose, a highly regarded historian, details the involvement of
Mormons in building crucial portions of the road, including the
driving of the "golden spike" in the heart of Mormon territory.
