LDS Church Museum Features Mormon Sports
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- During the current Olympic Games the LDS
Church's Museum of Church History and Art is presenting an exhibit on
the memorabilia of Mormon athletes. Titled "Wearing the Victor's
Crown," the exhibit includes memorabilia of 1948 Winter Olympian
Corey Engen, downhill skier Marv Melville, speed skater Barbara Day
Lockhart, slalom skier Jean Saubert and gymnast Peter Vidmar. It also
includes memorabilia, on loan, from Pro football star Steve Young and
former Brigham Young University football coach LaVell Edwards. The
exhibit continues until April 14.
