Local Relief Society Donates Quilts to New Shelter
NAMPA, IDAHO -- A new family shelter in Nampa, Idaho is benefitting
from the efforts of a local relief society. The Community Family
Shelter provides up to 56 beds for homeless families, children and
single women, replacing a previous shelter, Tabor House, which was
closed in January 1999 due to fire and safety hazards. New residents
will find their rooms stocked with hand-sewn quilts and packets of
essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap courtesy of a
Relief Society in Nampa. The church also donated pillows, bed sheets
and the land on which the shelter sits.
