Twelve Eastside congregations have created a "floating shelter" for the
homeless, moving the homeless men using its services from building to
building during the year. Now in its seventh year, the "Congregations
for the Homeless" gives up to 30 homeless men a place to sleep every
night.
LDS congregations in seattle are part of more than 50 additonal
congregations that provide volunteers and support for the program. The
LDS volunteers help during the month of the year that the shelter is
housed at the Temple De Hirsch Sinai.
