Saturday conference to focus on LDS temples

PROVO, UTAH -- A conference tomorrow sponsored by BYU's Foundation for
Ancient Research and Mormon Studies will feature Elder Hugh W. Pinnock
of the First Quorum of the Seventy. The conference, titled "Temples
Through the Ages," will also feature BYU professor Hugh Nibley and
others.
"We believe the conference will be very informative and inspirational
for all in attendance," said Jerry Bradford, director of research for
FARMS. Elder Pinnock's address, "Temples Then, Now and Forever," will
focus on the temple in the New Testament and the current building
project for the Nauvoo Temple.
Emeritus professor Nibley will speak on the expanding influence of
temples in his address, "Temples Everywhere." Also speaking are BYU
Professors Donald W. Parry and Stephen D. Ricks. The procedings of the
conference will also be available in the book "The Temple in Time and
Eternity," which will be available at the conference.
