I recently had my named removed from the records of the LDS Church. It was difficult to do so, but more from the stand point of screw ups at the local level out here in the Mid-West.

As a long-time reader of the Examiner, I found Carol Ness's July 17th article, "Mormons won't let gay quit church without fight" to be biased, poorly researched, full of errors, and, worst of all, malicious. Such an article is far beneath The Examiner's usual stellar reporting.

Re: LDS Composer Merrill Bradshaw Dies

I don't know you, but thanks for posting the obituary of Merrill Bradshaw. He was my composition teacher and advisor during my years at BYU. I don't compose any more, and you won't find my name in the LDS music scene any more. But this was news I felt I wanted to hear.
