BYU Professor Susan Easton Black at New York 'Know Your Religion' Lecture
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Dr Susan Easton Black, professor of Church
History at BYU will speak at the semi-annual Church Educational
System Know Your Religion lecture for the New Your Region on Saturday
and Sunday. Dr. Black will speak on the events leading up to the
martyrdom of Joseph Smith on Saturday, October 28th at 7:30 pm in the
Scotch Plains, New Jersey Stake Center and on Sunday, October 29th at
6 pm in the New York, New York Stake Center.
Dr. Black joined BYU's faculty in 1978 and has written, edited and
compiled 85 books, including a multi-volume work containing
biographies on Mormon church members from 1830-1844, and her latest
work, "In the Footsteps of Jesus."
