CBS' 60 Minutes To Rebroadcast Hinckley Interview With Wallace
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- CBS' schedule seems to indicate that it will
re-broadcast its 1996 interview with LDS Church president Gordon B. Hinckley
this coming Sunday. The interview and accompanying story was heralded by the
Church for its favorable treatment.
Along with Hinckley, Wallace interviews well-known Mormons such as football
star Steve Young, Utah's Senator Orrin Hatch and Marriott Corp. CEO J.
Willard Marriott, Jr. The Church at one point made a transcript of the
interview available on its website, however, it is no longer available there.
