Ord Begins Canadian Promotions In Calgary

CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA -- Less than six months after touring Utah and Idaho and performing with LDS artists such as Peter Breinholt and Julie de Azevedo, 19-year-old Maren Ord is ready to come home. Well, at least for awhile.

Beginning with a full day's worth of performances through Calgary on 27 April 2001, Ord will begin a brief "in-store" tour throughout Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. The mini-tour will be spread over April and May.

Calgary's performances will begin with an appearance on A Channel's "Big Breakfast", a morning television show produced by this independent station.

Throughout the afternoon, she will be playing selections of her debut album "Waiting" at local music and bookstores. Locations include HMV TD Square, Sam's TD Square, A&B Downtown, Chapters Westhills, Indigo Westhills and Chapters Macleod.

Ord, the third youngest in an LDS family of ten, will travel to Edmonton, her hometown, the next day to perform her famous single "Sarah" at the Alberta Film &Television Awards. Her performance, as well as the awards festival, which will also be broadcast on A Channel.

Nettwerk Management did not release dates or locations for Ontario or Quebec performances. However, they did confirm that they will be held in May.
