Accident Put Missionary in Coma
The missionary hit by a teen driver while riding a bicycle Monday was knocked unconscious in the accident and remained in a coma at LDS Hospital late Tuesday, according to a report this morning in the Salt Lake Tribune. LDS Hospital spokesman Jess Gomez called his injuries critical, saying, "We're taking it day by day, hour by hour."

LDS Missionary Hit by Car in Utah
An unidentified LDS missionary was hit by a car while riding a bicycle Monday night and is in critical condition at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. The Elder has multiple injuries, including a severe head injury. He is listed in critical condition.

Why LDS Welfare Program Won't Take Government Money
Catholic Community Services along with members of Interfaith Works and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints may join together for the common goal of welfare services in local areas, but they will not be partners in President George Bush's offer to channel government funds through religious charities. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' unwavering answer is thanks, but no thanks.

Chance Meeting with Former General Authority Reunites African Couple
Gambian refugee Abdou Bah had nearly given up hope of bringing his wife to the US when a chance meeting with V. Dallas Merrell, a former member of the LDS Church's Second Quorum of the Seventy, got him the help that he needed. Merrell's ties to politicians and diplomats, honed from years living in the Washington DC area, helped Abdou discover the nature of the problem, and his wife was due to arrive in Salt Lake City Monday.
