Attention on Utah's Porn Czar Continues

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- While still bringing up the existence of polygamy in Utah, and referring to the state as "sometimes comically conservative," this article from probably the English-speaking world's most prestigious news weekly praises Utah's appointment of Miss Paula Houston as "obscenity and pornography complaints ombudsman"

The article concludes: "The ubiquity of computers and the difficulty of developing 'filters' that skim off offensive material without restricting access to the useful sort make web-policing a formidable job. Still, the sometimes comically conservative state of Utah may be leading a charge that needs to be led. And out in front is Paula Houston, porn tsar."
