Osmond Back on Track After Post-Partum Depression
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- The Los Angeles Daily News reports that Marie
Osmond is back to normal two years after the birth of her seventh child.
Osmond, whose hormone levels plummeted and remained low after the birth,
told the story of her fight with depression in her book, "Behind the Smile:
My Journey Out of Postpartum Depression." "I was starved emotionally,
hormonally," she said. "I was a wreck." She credits her recovery to
treatment from holistic doctor Judith Moore and has since managed her life
better, turning down roles in four Broadway shows and several television
projects so she can spend more time with her children, she said. Her oldest
son, Stephen, will leave for a two-year mission for the LDS Church next year.
