LDS Parenting & Special Education Expert Glenn Latham Dead at 70 |
Utah State University Professor Emeritus Glenn
I. Latham died suddenly July 10th. Latham is best known for his
parenting workshops and for his books, "The Power of Positive
Parenting" and "What's a parent to do?" But professionally he was
also widely known for his work with the disabled, including founding
the Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center at USU. Latham was 70. |
Instructor establishes microenterprise academy in Philippines |
A Brigham Young University business instructor and his wife
who have started many successful businesses are now helping returned
missionaries in the Philippines do the same. Stephen W. Gibson, an
entrepreneur-in-residence at the Marriott School of Management, and his wife
Bette Gibson founded the Academy for Creating Enterprise (ACE) to benefit
members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cebu City, the
second-largest city in the Philippines. |
