92-year-old LDS Man Awarded Distinguished Eagle from Boy Scouts
SALEM, OREGON -- Charles Foulger, 92, was presented with the Distinguished
Eagle Scout Award on Sunday at the Salem Oregon Stake Center, the first
resident of Salem to be honored with the Distinguished Eagle Award. The
award is given to Eagles Scouts who have distinguished themselves in their
life work, service to church and to their communities. Other recipients have
included U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith of Oregon (also an LDS Church member) and
former President Ford. The award has been given just 1,500 times in the U.S.
