A Pocket-Sized Book of Inspiration from the Prophet

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- President Gordon B. Hinckley, prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has asked Church members to "stand tall and live the gospel," to "make each day a little better than the one before."

His latest book, "Stand a Little Taller" (Eagle Gate, $12.95) presents a collection of inspiring thoughts to elevate the mind and motivate us in reaching higher for excellence. A thought for each day of the year, paired with a verse of scripture, provides insights for living a richer, more spiritually centered life.

"Stand a Little Taller" is just 4" x 6" (10 cm x 15 cm), so it can easily fit in a jacket pocket, backpack, or purse, enabling readers to enjoy a message of counsel and inspiration whenever and wherever they can find a few moments each day. Profound thoughts on subjects such as faith, family relationships, the power of prayer, self-improvement, temple worship, and eternal life are shared in bite-sized pieces of wisdom and advice. Exquisitely designed with nature-oriented photographs, "Stand a Little Taller" is a feast for the eyes as well as the spirit.

About the Author Gordon B. Hinckley was ordained the world leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1995. He and his wife, Marjorie Pay Hinckley, have been married for over 60 years, and have five children and 25 grandchildren. They live in Salt Lake City.
