Deseret News Reports Jerusalem Center Closing
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- The Deseret News reported today that BYU has
closed its Jerusalem Center due to the instability in the area.
According to the report the center will not take students for at
least the next eight months - through June of 2002. Students have
already not been in the center since last November, when unrest in
Israel led BYU to bring the students home early. Mormon News already
reported the closing last month, following an article in the BYU
Daily Universe.
