Angel Moroni Installed in Museum, Instead of Atop Boston Temple |
The LDS Church hasn't yet been able to put a
statue of the Angel Moroni sculpted by artist Cyrus E. Dallin on top of the
Boston Temple, but it has been able to put a 29-inch replica in a local
museum. After some controversy, the Cyrus E. Dallin Art Museum in Arlington,
Massachussets has accepted the smaller replica as a permanent part of its
exhibits. |
'Two Headed' in Los Angeles |
Mormon playwright Julie Jensen's "Two Headed" is
being performed in Hollywood's John Anson Ford Theatre through February
25th, giving Los Angeles audiences a chance to see the show, which has
previously been presented in Salt Lake City and New York. In yesterday's Los
Angeles Times, theater critic Michael Phillips reviewed the play, which
explores the effect of polygamy and the Mountain Meadows Massacre on the
lives of two women over 40 years. |

LDS writer Anne Perry's 21st mystery novel has joined
the bestseller lists, hitting Amazon.com's list of top 100 titles. Her new
book joins the recently released paperback of the previous book in her
mystery series, "Half Moon Street." |
