Songwriter Janice Kapp Perry to get Lifetime Achievement Award |

Janice Kapp Perry joked, but she is also deeply touched to be
receiving the 2001 Lifetime Achievement Award for her many
contributions to LDS music, which will be presented as part of the
Faith Centered Music Association's Pearl Awards. "To do something you

Mormon History Association honors BYU professors |
Three Brigham Young University professors' comprehensive
bibliography of Mormon history was recognized at the Mormon History
Association's (MHA) annual conference in May. Ron Walker, a professor of
history; David Whitaker, BYU's Americana collection curator in the Lee
Library; and James Allen, professor emeritus of history, were honored for
their work with "Studies in Mormon History." |

During July and August, the L. Tom Perry Special Collections
of the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University will present an
exhibit of materials related to the second president of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. |
