Speaker for 2001 Leonard J. Arrington Mormon History Lecture Selected |
When the late Leonard J. Arrington made a gift of his
personal and historical papers to Utah State University to establish
the Arrington Archives, he stipulated that the collection also become
the focus for an annual lecture on an aspect of Mormon history. The
request was honored, and in 1995 Utah State inaugurated the series.
The speaker for this year's lecture has been selected, announced Ann
Buttars, head curator of Special Collections and Archives at Utah
State. Noted religious historian and writer Jan Shipps will present the 2001
Leonard J. Arrington Mormon History Lecture. |
