Sharing Our Strength of Conversion with Others
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- Once we are converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ,
how do we follow the Savior's admonition to "strengthen [our] brethren?" How
do we reach out, as Latter-day Saints who have experienced "a mighty change
in [our] hearts" to our families, friends, and associates? In his new book
"When Thou Art Converted: Continuing Our Search for Happiness" (Deseret
Book, $17.95), Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
shows us how.
Elder Ballard covers eleven important keys to happiness: building and
strengthening our testimony, recognizing our eternal identity as a child of
God, cultivating balance, learning to recognize and respond to the Spirit,
learning the lessons of the past, standing for truth and righteousness,
serving others, honoring the priesthood, honoring womenhood, following the
prophet, and focusing on the family. These keys of discipline will bless us
and others in the search for hapiness and peace -- a search that becomes
ever more rewarding and fulfilling as we endure to the end with those we
love, serving the Savior, who loved us first.
"When Thou Art Converted: Continuing Our Search for Happiness" is a
follow-up to Elder Ballard's well-loved work "Our Search for Happiness," one
of the bestselling LDS books of all time. It details how the most important
way we stand as witnesses of God is in the daily choices we make.
