New website tries to meet unique needs of LDS couples
PROVO, UTAH -- LDS weddings are a bit unique. There is no open bar,
unless you count the free punch at the reception. Instead of a huge
cathedral decorated with bright candles, Latter-day Saints exchange
vows inside a small, yet beautiful room that barely holds all of the
relatives. The ceremony is a basic one, but one that Latter-day
Saints believe unites the bride and groom for eternity.
To meet the unique needs of LDS engaged couples, two BYU students
(and former missionary companions) have developed a website called
TempleMarriage.com. TempleMarriage.com features information and
schedules for LDS temples, honeymoon ideas and travel deals, the
history of the LDS temple wedding ceremony, wedding announcement
etiquette, articles from LDS authors, wedding license information,
and much more.
TempleMarriage.com is at
http://www.TempleMarriage.com
TempleMarriage.com is also designed to help families of LDS students
at BYU, Ricks College, Utah State University, or the University of
Utah help plan weddings from wherever in the country (or world) they
may live.
