Nauvoo questions building of Nauvoo Temple
The town of Nauvoo, Illinois has expressed some concerns with the LDS Church's plan to rebuild the Nauvoo Temple. At a meeting Monday night with LDS Church representatives, the town's mayor and council asked many questions about the temple and the economic impact that it will have on the town.

Washington's elite turned-out for a reception and preview of the upcoming documentary, "American Prophet - The Story of Joseph Smith" on Wednesday night and to meet his successor, President Gordon B. Hinckley. The crowd included senators, House members, top business leaders and diplomats from more than 20 countries.

Is ZCMI purchase near? Rumors keep on swirling
Rumors that LDS Church-owned ZCMI will be sold have persisted and company officials have continued to say that the rumors are 'speculation.' However, Richard H. Madsen , ZCMI's chairman, president and chief executive officer, does say that the company is trying to decide what to do, "It's the same thing that's been going on for several months. As we've said before, we're currently studying all of our alternatives."
