Six Mormons identified on Forbes 400 (America's Richest People)
Forbes has released its annual survey of the 400 richest Americans,
and in its article specifically identifies six of them as being
Mormons. Here are a listing of those that are, most likely, the six
richest Americans:
Jon Huntsman, 62
Huntsman is listed on the Forbes 400 as worth $3.9 billion, based
mainly on the largest privately-held chemical concern in the U.S.
Recently, he purchased 4 chemical businesses from ICI of Great Britan
for $2.8 billion, doubling the revenues of Huntsman's operations.
Huntsman is quoted as saying "You will never find maximum happiness
until you can effectively make a difference in the life of another
person."

Richard Peery, 59
Peery and his partner, John Arrillaga, bought up cheap farmland in
the 1960s in what is now Silicon Valley. After developing their
holdings into high-end office space, the partners are now one of the
tech industry's largest landlords. Peery has a Stanford M.B.A. and
actually ran the business while Arrillaga combined design skills and
salesmanship to get them business. Recently they have sold-off some
of their holdings, including 200 acres to Cisco for $400 million.
Peery's fortune is valued by Forbes at $1.3 billion.
