Five Charged in Gruesome Murder of LDS Man |
Five suspects have been charged with various crimes
in the January 2nd murder of Antony Frank Buccellato, an LDS Church member
and BYU graduate, in what police have called a crime of opportunity.
Buccellato was robbed and beaten, rolled in a carpet and dumped on
California's highway 4, where his body was hit by several cars. |
BYU Sued For Copyright Violation |
A former BYU student is suing the school, claiming
that BYU used her play without permission. Sallie Larsen, who
graduated from BYU in 1990, wrote an award-winning one-hour
multimedia presentation on the traditions and heritage of BYU which
was used with permission until 1997. Larsen claims that the school
then used her play without permission in August 1998 as part of
student orientation. |
Richard N. Williams new associate academic vice president |
President Merrill J. Bateman has announced the
appointment of a new associate academic vice president at Brigham
Young University. Richard N. Williams will replace James D. Gordon III, who will return
to full-time teaching and research in the J. Reuben Clark Law School.
Williams has been serving as an assistant to Gordon since 1999. |
