BYU Hoops Star Wesley Climbs Back From Own Mistake |
Meleki Wesley has climbed back from a difficult error, and is
now demonstrating not only his talent, but the maturity he had learned from
the climb back. His error was a difficult one for someone in an LDS
community: his girlfriend became pregnant with his son just as his BYU
basketball career was picking up steam. But while the climb back to the team
and to the same high level of performance was difficult, Wesley says it made
him a better person. |
BYU 7th in Fall Sears Directors' Cup Standings |
The final Fall 2000 standings for the Sears
Directors' Cup have been released, and BYU is in 7th place, just a
point behind Colorado. The standings are BYU's second-best result in
the eight-year history of the Cup. |
Three Mormons Left in NFL Playoffs |
With the NFL down to four teams, just three
Mormon players are left in the NFL playoff games. Edwin Mulitalo of
the Baltimore Ravens, Junior Ioane of the Oakland Raiders and David
Dixon of the Minnesota Vikings all have a shot at going to the Super
Bowl if their teams win this coming Sunday. |
